Q: My aftermarket bumper has a built-in skid. Do I still need this?
A: Most bumper-integrated skids only cover the area directly below the bumper. The Low Pro extends further back to cover the steering rack and lower control arm pockets. Running both closes the gap with no clearance conflicts.

Q: What makes it Low Pro and why does that matter?
A: The slimmer profile clears aftermarket bumper mounting hardware where a standard skid would create a clearance conflict. For factory bumpers, the standard DV8 Steel Front Skid Plate is a better fit.

Q: Can this be repaired after a hard hit or does it need to be replaced?
A: Minor bends can be pressed out at a fab shop. Cracked welds or major deformation requires replacement.

Q: Does this work with lifted Broncos?
A: Yes. Compatible with stock and most lifted setups.

Q: Does this work with the factory bumper too or only aftermarket setups?
A: Designed primarily for aftermarket bumper configurations. For factory bumpers, the standard DV8 Steel Front Skid Plate is the better match.

Low-Profile Front Skid Plate for the Bronco Running an Aftermarket Bumper

The DV8 Offroad Low Pro Skid Plate is built for 2021-2026 Ford Bronco owners running an aftermarket front bumper who want front undercarriage protection without the added height of a full steel skid. The low-profile design keeps ground clearance nearly unchanged while protecting the front frame crossmember and steering components from direct rock strikes. Compatible with all Bronco trims.

Requires an Aftermarket Bumper
Direct bolt-on replacement for the factory skid. If your factory skid plate mounts have built-in D-rings, they must be cut flush for installation. Not compatible with the factory bumper or Bronco Raptor. Finished in micro-texture black powder coat. Rated at 1 hour to install.
