How much does a bull bar cost for a Ford Bronco?

The bull bars and grille guards here run from $109.99 to $699.99. The lower end is bolt-on bars for the factory steel bumper. The higher end is full grille guards and packages that come with LED lights.

What's the difference between a bull bar and a grille guard?

A bull bar is a single steel hoop across the center of the front end. It protects the grille and gives you a place to mount lights.

A grille guard adds guards over both headlights, so it covers more of the front end. The grille guards here are the RedRock HD Modular and the Barricade Extreme HD.

What's the best bull bar for a Ford Bronco?

Start with the front bumper your Bronco has (see "Which bull bar fits my bumper?" below). Then pick by what you want:

  • Lights included: the RedRock packages and the Barricade Bull Bar with LED Light Bar come with a light bar. The RedRock Grille Guard Package adds two LED fog lights.
  • Protection underneath: the Barricade Oval and Tubular bull bars have a skid plate built in.
  • The longest warranty: Turn Offroad, with a lifetime warranty.

Do bull bars come with lights?

Some do. The RedRock Modular Bull Bar Packages and the Barricade Bull Bar with LED Light Bar include a light bar. The RedRock Grille Guard Package includes a 20-inch light bar and two LED fog lights.

The rest have spots to mount lights, but the lights are sold separately. Each product page lists what's in the box.

Which bull bar fits my bumper?

The Bronco came with three front bumpers from the factory: plastic, Capable steel, and Modular steel. Bull bars are made for specific ones:

  • Factory Modular steel bumper: the RedRock Modular bull bars, the Turn Offroad bars, and the DV8 Modular and Factory Steel Bumper bull bars.
  • Factory Capable bumper: the DV8 Capable Bumper Bull Bar.
  • Any of the three: the Barricade bull bars, which bolt on with their own mounting brackets.

Each product page says which bumper it needs.

Do bull bars fit the Bronco Raptor?

None of the bull bars here are confirmed to fit the Raptor. Several say they don't, and the rest list Raptor fit as not confirmed. If you have a Raptor, text us before you order and we'll check for you.

Will a bull bar block my front camera?

Some do. The DV8 Capable Bumper Bull Bar blocks part of the front camera's view. The Turn Offroad bull bars show up in the front camera but don't affect the 360-degree view, and the Turn Offroad grille guard doesn't show up at all.

Check the fitment notes on the product page for the bar you're looking at.

Do these bull bars fit 2-door and 4-door Broncos?

Yes. The bull bars and grille guards here are listed for both the 2-door and the 4-door Bronco. What matters is your front bumper and trim, not the number of doors.

How long does it take to install a bull bar?

Listed install times run from about 20 minutes to 2.5 hours. The RedRock bars that bolt to the factory Modular bumper are the quickest. Each product page shows its time.

Do I need to drill to install a bull bar?

Most no. The Barricade bull bars bolt on with hand tools and no drilling. The DV8 Factory Steel Bumper Bull Bar uses 8 existing bumper bolts.

The one exception is the DV8 Capable Bumper Bull Bar, which needs drilling.

Will a bull bar void my Ford warranty?

Not by itself. Under federal law, Ford can't deny a warranty claim just because you added an aftermarket part. It would have to show the part caused the problem. Read more in our guide to aftermarket parts and your Bronco warranty.
