The Baja Designs roof mount light bar kit puts a large LED light bar above the windshield of the 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 Ford Bronco. It also fits the 2022 through 2026 Bronco Raptor. A roof bar sits up high, so it throws light far down the trail and over hills and brush that block lower lights.

Four Light Bar Choices

The 50-inch OnX6+ is a single bar with 30 LEDs and a Driving/Combo beam. It puts out 39,430 lumens. The Driving/Combo beam uses reflectors that reach far down the trail with a smooth spread of light.

The 50-inch OnX6+ Dual Control is the same size bar with a split setup. You can turn on the outer two sections and the inner three sections on their own. It puts out 39,910 lumens. Use the center only on tight trails, or turn on the whole bar in the open desert.

The 50-inch S8 is a single bar with 40 LEDs and a Driving/Combo beam. It puts out 31,750 lumens and costs less than the OnX6+.

The 8XL Sport is eight round XL Sport lights linked into one bar. It puts out 25,296 lumens. Each light can tilt up or down, and the kit comes with eight rock guards to protect the lenses.

Built for Rough Trails

The lenses are hard coated polycarbonate. The housings are anodized aluminum, and the brackets and hardware are stainless steel. The lights are rated IP69K, so they are waterproof and can handle a pressure washer.

Fitment

The brackets use factory mounting points. Baja Designs says no cutting, trimming, or drilling is needed, and the wiring comes pre-sized for the Bronco. This kit does not work with the factory roof rack. Remove the factory rack or skip this kit if you plan to keep it.

Toggle Switch or Factory AUX Switches

Each kit comes with one of two wiring options. The Toggle Switch version includes a relay wiring kit and a switch you mount in the dash. Baja Designs' install guide calls for a 3/4-inch hole in the dash to mount that switch.

The Upfitter version connects to the factory AUX switches in the overhead console above the mirror. You turn the lights on and off with those buttons, so there is no extra switch to mount. Only pick Upfitter if your Bronco has the factory AUX switches. Look for a row of AUX buttons on the ceiling above the mirror. On the Bronco Raptor, Baja Designs notes the AUX1 and AUX3 wire colors are switched, so follow the Raptor steps in the guide.

The Dual Control bar comes with two wiring kits, one for each set of sections.

Power Draw

A big light bar pulls a lot of power. The 50-inch OnX6+ draws about 28 amps at 12 volts. The included relay wiring is sized for that load, so the power comes straight from the battery and not through a small factory wire.

Road Use

These are off-road lights. Keep the bar off on public roads unless your local laws allow it.

Installation

The kit includes the light bar, the brackets, the wiring, and the hardware. Plan on about two hours for the install.
