Will This Tailgate Reinforcement Fit My Bronco?
2021-2026 Ford Bronco. Bronco Raptor fitment is unconfirmed.
What Is This Tailgate Reinforcement Designed For?
Carry larger spare tire loads on trail miles and daily driving with a steel tailgate reinforcement that removes tire stress from the OEM tailgate. The Turn Offroad TC3-M1 HD Tire Carrier Tailgate Reinforcement fits 2021–2026 Ford Bronco models. It provides a full spare tire mounting system built around an all-steel, double-plated, boxed design.
Features and Equipment
- Take spare tire load off the OEM tailgate with a dedicated reinforcement system.
- Build a stronger rear carrier structure with all-steel, double-plated, boxed construction.
- Use durable hinge hardware with CNC-machined steel hinges and a brass pivot bushing.
- Keep controlled tailgate travel with a tailgate stop in the OEM position.
- Support larger tire upgrades with a carrier system designed for heavier rear setups.
Carrier and Accessory Choices
The TC3-M1 uses an all-steel, double-plated and boxed structure with CNC-machined steel hinges and a brass pivot bushing. A tailgate stop remains in the OEM position. Turn Offroad lists use with the original tire carrier or its TC4-M1 adjustable carrier, so you can choose the carrier arrangement separately from the reinforcement.
That distinction matters when comparing packages. A tailgate reinforcement and an adjustable wheel-mounting carrier perform different jobs, even when they are installed together. Confirm the carrier, wheel offset, camera mounting, and brake-light arrangement before adding another rear accessory. The complete assembly should preserve access to the spare and the attachment hardware. Check the selected package contents before ordering a second carrier or adapter that is already part of your build.
How Does This Tailgate Reinforcement Install?
Check the mounting requirements for your Bronco and the equipment listed above before installation. Follow Turn Offroad's instructions for this exact part, including any required adapters or electrical connections. View the manufacturer installation video or instructions.
Plan the Complete Tailgate Setup
Compare this part with the equipment already fitted to your Bronco's tailgate. Tire diameter alone does not describe the space available: wheel offset, carrier spacers, hinge accessories, and the tire's actual position can change clearance. Work through the complete arrangement before tightening the final hardware. Open the tailgate carefully through its travel and check for contact with the tail light, rear body, bumper, and neighboring accessories. Where an adapter or limiter is specified above, include it in the installation rather than treating it as a cosmetic extra.
Clearance Is Not a Load Rating
A statement that an accessory clears a particular tire or mounts to a carrier does not increase the carrier's weight capacity. Account for the loaded gear as well as the mount itself, and use the limits for the actual carrier, hinge, and accessory system. Containers, lights, flags, and recovery gear can have different mounting requirements even when they attach in the same area. Use the specified attachment points and compatible hardware instead of relying on a nearby opening or a bracket intended for another purpose.
Keep Rear Functions Usable
Check the rear camera view, license-plate visibility, plate illumination, third brake light, and access to the spare after the complete setup is installed. Relocation parts can change where wiring needs to run or how an accessory comes off for service. Leave a practical route for removing the spare and accessing the tailgate hardware. Inspect the fasteners after initial use and after rough-road travel. If you change the wheel, tire, carrier, or another tailgate accessory later, repeat the clearance checks rather than assuming the original arrangement still applies.
