A: Often you won't know until you're back home and notice alignment problems or a rear suspension clunk. The damage can be invisible from a quick look underneath but shows up as handling changes on the drive home. By the time it's obvious, the frame shop bill is typically significant.

Q: On a lifted Bronco with relocated trailing arm brackets, do these still fit?
A: For lifts that use a drop bracket at the factory mount position, typically yes. For lifts that completely relocate the mount to a new frame location, compatibility depends on the geometry. Use the live chat with your lift brand.

Q: Can these be installed at the same time as other DV8 skid plates or do they require a specific install order?
A: No specific order required. These bolt to their own mounting positions independently of the other skid plates.

Protect the Bronco Trailing Arm Mounts Before a Rock Bends the Frame Pocket

The DV8 Offroad Trailing Arm Skid Plates are built for 2021-2026 Ford Bronco owners who push their truck on rocks where the trailing arm frame mounting points are exposed. A direct hit on those mounting points can bend the frame pocket, resulting in alignment problems and expensive repairs. These skids bolt over the mounting area and take the strikes instead.

Only Fits Models Without the OEM Welded Skid
These skid plates fit Bronco models with trailing arms that do NOT have the factory welded trailing arm skid. Minor drilling and a partial gas tank drop are required during installation. Rated at 3 hours due to the required gas tank drop. For models with the OEM welded skid, use SPBR-05 instead. Finished in micro-texture black powder coat.
