Fitment

Morimoto builds this BigBanger ditch light kit for the 2021 Ford Bronco, the 2022 Ford Bronco, the 2023 Ford Bronco, the 2024 Ford Bronco, the 2025 Ford Bronco, and the 2026 Ford Bronco. The stainless steel brackets bolt to the factory A-pillar mounting points near the windshield, a location that exists on every trim regardless of bumper style, so this kit installs the same way whether the truck has the Standard bumper, the Capable bumper, the HD Modular bumper, or the Bronco Raptor's own front end. No drilling, cutting, or trim modification is needed anywhere in the install.

Design

The BigBanger is the largest and heaviest pod in Morimoto's A-pillar lineup, built for buyers who want the most output the platform offers rather than the lightest or cheapest option. The HXB tier runs seven Osram HX Boost chips per pod and produces 7,000 raw lumens and up to 210,000 candela once warmed up, with the Spot pattern rated to reach roughly 800 meters into the distance. The NCS tier runs seven Nichia chips per pod instead, producing 3,150 raw lumens and up to 132,100 candela, a lower output at a lower price using the same housing and mounting hardware. Both tiers come in white or yellow output. Unlike the smaller 2Banger and 4Banger kits, the BigBanger only comes in two beam patterns, Combo and Spot, not four. Combo blends width and distance for a wide field of usable light. Spot throws a tight, focused beam built for the longest possible range. Every BigBanger pod also includes a standard amber backlight, twelve CREE XP-E2 chips per pod, that automatically dims 90 percent at night to cut down on glare for oncoming traffic while staying bright enough to see during the day. The housing is die-cast aluminum with a powder coat finish, the lens is Makrolon polycarbonate, and the pod carries an IP69K rating for dust and high-pressure water resistance. Each bracket is laser cut from 304 stainless steel before powder coating.

Electronics

Every pod plugs into an integrated Deutsch DT 4-pin connector with a pigtail, a larger connector than the 2Banger or 4Banger use, since it also carries the backlight circuit. The included wiring kit carries a triple-sealed 4-pin relay, an inline 20-amp fuse, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a push-button switch with an amber LED backlight, and it controls the dual-intensity backlight on both pods along with the main beam.

Street Legality

Neither the Combo nor Spot beam pattern on the BigBanger carries any street-legal certification for use as a fog light or auxiliary driving light. Morimoto builds this pod for off-road use, and there is no Wide beam option here the way there is on the 2Banger and 4Banger, so buyers who specifically want a street-legal fog light replacement should look at one of those smaller kits instead.

Installation

Installation lines up with the Bronco's existing A-pillar mounting points, so the whole job stays modification-free. Morimoto backs this kit with a lifetime warranty. At roughly 10 pounds per pod, this is a noticeably heavier install than the 2Banger or 4Banger, worth factoring in for anyone mounting it somewhere beyond the factory A-pillar point.
