A High-Tuck Bronco Exhaust

The AWE 0FG BashGuard Cat-Back Exhaust is the no-tip configuration for Bronco owners who prioritize a tucked-away rear outlet. Instead of ending below the bumper in polished or black tips, the system uses AWE’s reinforced BashGuard outlet above the rear tow-hook area. It is a complete 0FG cat-back exhaust, not a standalone BashGuard accessory or a replacement outlet sold without the rest of the tubing.

Which Broncos Does It Fit?

This exhaust is designed for the full-size sixth-generation Ford Bronco with a 2.3L turbocharged four-cylinder or 2.7L twin-turbo V6. It supports both two-door and four-door models. The kit includes the adapter needed to accommodate the four-door body length; a two-door installation does not need that extension. The engine and body arrangement determine which included adapters are used. The 3.0L Bronco Raptor requires its own AWE SwitchPath system, and the Bronco Sport is outside this exhaust’s application.

Reinforcement at the Outlet

The BashGuard uses a 0.125-inch-thick stainless reinforcing ring at the outlet. Its purpose is to provide a more protected exit location for terrain where a conventional rear tip can be vulnerable. Moving the exhaust outlet does not increase the Bronco’s suspension travel, tire clearance, towing rating, or underbody protection elsewhere. Review the completed installation around the bumper, recovery points, and other rear accessories rather than treating the exhaust as a substitute for a skid plate.

The Same 0FG Sound Architecture

A dedicated midpipe resonator and straight-through tubing form the basis of the 0FG system. This version omits decorative exhaust tips, but it still supplies the cat-back sections required for the intended vehicle. It is not an axle-back-only modification and does not replace the factory catalytic converters. AWE reports tested wheel gains of 3 horsepower and 3 lb-ft on the 2.3L Bronco, and 4 horsepower and 3 lb-ft on the 2.7L Bronco. These figures describe AWE’s tests rather than a guaranteed outcome for every installation.

Stainless Tubing and Hanger Control

AWE uses 3-inch, CNC mandrel-bent T304L stainless tubing with a 0.065-inch wall. The steel is U.S.-sourced, and the exhaust is engineered and manufactured in-house in the United States. Locking collars for the hangers help keep the assembly located when the Bronco is driven over uneven ground. Correct alignment still matters: tubing, clamps, and outlet placement must clear surrounding components throughout normal vehicle operation. Follow the guide’s fitting sequence rather than tightening the first joint before aligning the rest.

Complete No-Tip Configuration

The package includes the 0FG cat-back exhaust, the appropriate supplied adapters, BashGuard outlet, and installation hardware. Chrome Silver and Diamond Black decorative tips are not included in this configuration. Choose one of the single-exit or dual-exit systems instead if you want its tip section included from the start. AWE specifies bolt-on installation without cutting. Have the installation guide available before removing the factory exhaust so the correct parts, clamps, and engine-specific connections can be identified.

Limited Lifetime Coverage

AWE backs exhaust tubing, welds, and flex sections against manufacturer defects for the original owner with lifetime coverage. The coverage is subject to the manufacturer’s installation, use, and claim requirements. Despite the reinforced outlet, impact damage, off-road abuse, product alteration, or incorrect installation can fall outside the warranty. Keep proof of purchase, inspect the system if a concern develops, and contact the original seller before removing parts for a claim.
