A pinch weld cover is a steel panel that bolts over the exposed seam along the bottom of a Bronco's rocker panel, covering it up without the size or cost of a full rock slider. This applies to the 2021+ Ford Bronco only. It does NOT fit the Ford Bronco Sport, which uses a different unibody platform entirely.
What Is a Pinch Weld Cover?
A pinch weld cover is a steel panel that bolts directly over the pinch weld seam on a Bronco's rocker panel, the strip where the body panel and floor pan meet. It's a bolt-on, direct-fit part, no drilling or cutting into the body. It cleans up the look of that seam and adds a layer of protection against rock chips and rust.
Why the Pinch Weld Is Exposed
On a Bronco without rock sliders or a step package installed, the pinch weld seam sits bare along the bottom edge of the door opening. Left uncovered, it's exposed to rock chips, mud, and moisture that can lead to rust over time. A pinch weld cover is the simplest fix for owners who don't want or need a full rock slider setup.

Pinch Weld Covers vs. Rock Sliders
A pinch weld cover is not a substitute for a rock slider. It covers a seam and adds light surface protection. It is not built to take a direct hit from a rock or stump the way a frame-mounted rock slider is.
If your Bronco sees real trail obstacles, a rock slider is the right call. If you mainly want to clean up the look of the pinch weld and add mild protection on a daily driver or light trail rig, a pinch weld cover does that job at a fraction of the cost. Fitment Notes to Check
DV8's 4-door pinch weld cover isn't compatible with DV8's own FS-15 4-door rock slider. You run one or the other. It does pair with DV8's 4-door OE Plus Series side steps. On the 2-door side, the pinch weld cover isn't compatible with the factory rock slider, but does pair with the factory step. Always check the fitment notes on the product page before ordering.
